About

I am Rosie, and have worked in the flower industry for over 10 years, having owned and run a village flower shop making and delivering retail and farewell flowers, and working on many weddings in venues throughout Central Scotland.

During this time I attended several specialist workshops to improve my knowledge and skills and discovered a shift in attitudes towards using floral foam, which is very harmful to the environment. I decided to change my practice in the work I did by using different methods to replace floral foam. It now comes as second nature to me to use moss, compostable bags, Agra wool blocks, cardboard trays and twine to create natural and plastic free designs.

My current work focuses mainly on small weddings on the Isle of Mull , a place where I have been lucky enough to visit over the past 20 years. Most recently I have been a preferred supplier of wedding and event flowers to the award winning Croft 3 restaurant on the island.

I also offer sympathy flowers throughout the central belt of Scotland and am keen to work alongside the funeral industry to try to change attitudes towards traditional designs which currently use floral foam, plastics and ribbons, still offering something beautiful to mark the passing of a loved one, but in doing so, being kinder to the environment.
